Students will research a real United States senator, consider their various interests, and make decisions about how their senator would vote on real issues related to criminal justice. Students finish the lesson with a short exit ticket to reflect on how senators make important decisions with local, state, and national implications. Throughout this lesson, students will deepen their understanding of the role legislators play within our government.
